foto-story Friday -- Making Pie

Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

The Great Pie-making Experiment
We got a pie filling and recipe from a friend a year ago the filling was from our apple trees. I wanted to make this forever ago but i was turned down each time by mom. On monday dad told me to make said pie, and so the GREAT PIE  EXPERIMENT began.Oh by the way our first time making pie. :)   Here we are attempting to roll dough(above)
We had rolled the dough to small, so we pushed until it sorta kinda fit, well close enough.
A "lovely" picture of me and a close up of the crust.
Still trying to make the crust work here.
Well we got the crust figured out, so onto the filling. This jar was stuck closed for a year and it was STUCK.
My ingenious plan to open said jar included: 1 cody with LARGE pliers + 1 mom with said jar
=ing 1 more failed attempt. :(   So much for my "ingenious" plan. A can opener worked (imagine that a tool from the kitchen not the garage)
We then moved onto the top crust. Which then proceeded to fall into 3 pieces, so i give you piece #1
And piece #2, (We have now attracted a crowd)
Now with out further adieu i give you piece #3, and a close up of me again.
Aaahh.. the finished product, not bad for a first time eh! Tasted Wonderful - posted by Cody
